Historia

Nadie sabe como empezó todo, solo que eres una de las pocas personas vivas que pueblan la ciudad.

Refugiarte en un centro comercial era una buena idea gracias a la comida y recursos que proporciona, pero cuando llegó el colapso eléctrico todo cambió.

Las puertas cedieron a la horda y comenzaron a entrar no muertos al edificio. Salir de allí no es una opción, pues la horda te lo impide. Desesperado en la azotea, el único lugar seguro (de momento), pasan los días, sin esperanza. Hasta que una mañana divisas a lo lejos lo que parece ser un helicóptero. Si, lo es. Está encima de otra azotea lejana evacuando supervivientes. Gritas, pero están demasiado lejos, y alertas a los zombis que comienzan a entrar en el edificio. Debes pensar otro modo de llamar la atención, otro modo para conseguir que te rescaten.

El juego

El objetivo es conseguir escapar vivo del centro comercial donde te has refugiado de la horda de no muertos.

Tendrás que echarle ingenio para lograrlo. Podrás interactuar con casi todo el escenario del juego aunque no todo te será útil.

Recoge objetos, combínalos y úsalos para resolver pequeños puzzles. Evita los ataques de los zombis ya que a veces pueden causar heridas graves que necesitarás curar y limpiar.

Aléjate de ellos, por suerte su campo de visión es limitado. Despístalos haciéndote pasar por uno de ellos sin hacer movimientos bruscos refregándote por los cadáveres, ¡pero ojo con estar mucho tiempo con los fluidos pútridos encima ya que podrías coger una infección, o incluso con un rasguño podrías infectarte y convertirte en uno de ellos!

Y sobre todo evita salir del centro comercial, la horda te estará esperando ansiosamente para degustarte. ¿Podrás escapar?

Controles

Puedes usar el palito de la diversión (ese no, el del ordenador) o controlar el juego usando el teclado:

P (joystick derecha): moverse a la derecha
O (joystick izquierda): moverse a la izquierda
Q (joystick arriba): moverse arriba
A (joystick abajo): moverse abajo
SPACE (joystick disparo): buscar, mirar, coger objetos, usar objetos

Instrucciones de caraga

En modelos de 48K, escribe LOAD”” y pulsa ENTER y Play en el casette. En modelos de 128K, pon el ordenador en modo 48 Basic y pulsa ENTER. Luego, haz lo mismo que en los modelos de 48K.

Story

No one knows how it all started, just that you are one of the few living people that inhabit the city.

Taking shelter in a shopping mall was a good idea because of the food and the resources available, but when the power outage hit, everything changed.

The doors gave in to the horde and the undead began to enter the building. Leaving the place is not an option, because the horde is everywhere. Desperate on the roof, it’s the only safe place (for now), the days go by and there’s no hope. One morning you spot what seems to be a chopper in the distance. If it is, it’s evacuating survivors on the top of another distant rooftop. You scream, but they’re too far away, and you alerted the zombies that are already getting into the building. You must think of another way to get their attention, a different way to be rescued.

The Game

The goal is to escape alive from the mall where you have taken shelter from the horde of the undead. You will have to use ingenuity to achieve it. You’ll be able to interact with almost the entire game scene, although not everything will be useful to you.

Collect items, combine them and use them to solve the puzzles. Avoid zombie attacks as they can sometimes cause serious injuries that you will need to heal and clean up. Stay away from them, luckily their field of vision is limited.

Dispel them by passing through one of them without making sudden movements rubbing against the corpses, but be careful not to spend a lot of time with the putrid fluids on top of you as you, just some fluid on a scratch could get you infected and become one of them!

And above all, avoid leaving the mall, the horde will be waiting anxiously to savour you. Will you be able to escape?

Controls

You can use the joystick or keyboard. 

P (joystick right): move to right
O (joystick left): move to left
Q (joystick up): move to up
A (joystick down): move to down
Space (joystick fire): to look for, to see, to catch objects, to use objects

Loading instructions

Type LOAD “” then press ENTER. In 128K moders you may want to select “48 BASIC” before, otherwise you won’t be able to type shit and the chutney field will become corrupted.
