The Great Pakete Point & Click Adventure for Amstrad CPC Creation Contest
Courtesy english translation of the spanish rules.
With the release of Paket Engine, it’s time to create adventurous works of art. To encourage such creation, Cepeceros Podcast is organising the first Great Pakete Point & Click Adventure for Amstrad CPC Creation Contest. The rules, categories and prizes are set out in the following terms and conditions.
POINT 1. Any inhabitant of the known universe may enter the contest. Games in Spanish and/or English are accepted. By participating, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
POINT 2. Individuals or teams may submit as many games as they wish.
POINT 3. Games must run correctly on an Amstrad CPC. Some judges may test them on Retro Virtual Machine, so make sure they work correctly on that emulator, although the real machine will have the final say.
POINT 4. Games must be submitted in CDT, DSK or Dandanator format compatible with 64Kb of RAM. Multi-loading is permitted.
POINT 5. All creations submitted to the competition must be made with Paket Engine, which you can download here. Remember the terms of the licence.
POINT 6. Games of any theme will be accepted. If you are going to be overly spicy or violent, please put a PEGI 18 on the game’s loading screen, lest some Flanders take offence.
POINT 7. The competition will have one prize category and two special mentions, namely:
BEST GAME. The winner in this category will be the best game submitted to the competition that complies with all the rules and is also considered the best by the jury. Different characteristics will be assessed. 200€ for the winner.
There will be a second prize for the second best game with 100€ for the winner.
SPECIAL MENTION FOR BEST SCRIPT. A special mention—with 50€ prize—will be awarded to the adventure with the best script, as determined by the jury.
SPECIAL MENTION FOR BEST GRAPHICS. A special mention—with 50€ prize—will be awarded to the adventure with the best graphics, as determined by the jury.
POINT 8. The deadline for submitting games is midnight on 31 December 2026. Games must be submitted by email to cepeceros (at) gmail . com. The email must include the names of the participants, pseudonym or name of the group, and must include either the game in any of the accepted formats or a download link to itch.io or similar. If this method is chosen, the game must remain free to download until the jury’s decision.
POINT 9. The jury that will decide the winners is made up of members of Pakete Soft, Cepeceros Podcast and other members of the CPC Scene. The deadline for deliberations and announcement of the winners will be around the end of January 2027.
POINT 10. Although the aim of the competition is to have fun developing an adventure, we want to offer a minimum prize of €200 to the winner of the competition on behalf of Cepeceros Podcast. The organisation reserves the right to increase and/or award a cash prize to special mentions if, in the event of external contributions, the prize pool is increased.
UPDATE 29/01/2026: Welcome, Retro Virtual Machine!

UPDATE 02/02/2026: Welcome, Ahero !

If you would like to contribute to the competition prizes, please contact the organisers at cepeceros (at) gmail.com. All donations will be duly acknowledged on the website once the final list of prizes has been published.
POINT 11. The authorship of the games submitted to the competition remains with their authors, who may do with them as they wish. However, by submitting them to this contest, you give Cepeceros Podcast permission to distribute them, post them on our website, etc., without prejudice to your right to do whatever you want with them.
Please try to maintain a minimum level of respect for copyright and intellectual property laws.
POINT 12. The games submitted must be unpublished and created specifically for the competition. The loading screen must include a reference to The Great Pakete Point & Click Adventure for Amstrad CPC Creation Contest . Sugestion 😉 :
POINT 13. We reserve the right to modify the rules if any extraordinary situation so requires. The decisions of the organisation and the jury’s verdict are final.
